Spend a Week Relaxing in Beautiful Wayne Manor

Conveniently located just a stone’s throw from the bustling metropolis of Gotham City, Wayne Manor combines country seclusion with access to a modern city (currently a full 3 days since Gotham City’s last mass murder!). It makes an ideal base from which to venture into the city for a spot of Bat-watching – Gotham’s local caped crusader is always a hit with the tourists, although his appearance or the sight of the famous ‘bat-signal’ in the sky is generally an indication that all civilians should head for cover.

Perhaps one of the most intriguing features is the extensive network of subterranean caves and tunnels that honeycomb the expansive grounds. Home to the rare Indiana Bat (Myotis sodalist), the caves are the subject of a protection order and as such guests are completely forbidden from venturing into their depths. The tunnels also contain a winding underground river that exits the cave system to merge with the Gotham River – perfect for a spot of fishing. Occasionally, the movement of wind and water through the tunnels may resemble the sound of a rocket-propelled car engine or technologically advanced boat-submarine, but guests should not be alarmed by this perfectly natural phenomenon.

Interior to the palatial manor, guests can relax in one of the many parlours and reception areas. While guests are welcome to linger in the study before dinner it is best to keep an eye on the time as the antique grandfather clock is non-functional. As the grandfather clock is both expensive and an item of great sentimental value, guests are strongly discouraged from interfering with the clock, and especially should not point the hands to 10:47. The current owner of the Manor, billionaire Bruce Wayne would find that disrespectful as that is the time at which the tragic deaths of his parents, Martha and Thomas Wayne, took place. While the staff are both pleasant and helpful, you may find that the head butler, Alfred Pennyworth is often called away to other urgent duties.

The recent earthquake sadly caused a large amount of damage to the Manor and the caves. The rebuilt Manor features both elements of a Gothic architectural design and castellated architecture, giving the Manor the intriguing appeal of Wuthering Heights brought to life. A heliport allows easy access to the Manor, while the ecologically minded will be happy to see solar panels taking care of the electrical needs of the building. The large number of solar panels is simply due to Bruce Wayne’s desire not to have to ever rely on oil-based electricity generation and is in no way a sign that there is any kind of underground super-computer or anything.

Whether you’re grieving, brooding, or simply want to live the playboy lifestyle, Wayne Manor is the perfect place to retreat from the world and re-connect with your inner self.
